Server Rules & Guidelines

Important
Breaking these rules may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent removal from the server. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse.

Code of Conduct

  • Respect everyone. Be polite and treat other players and staff with respect. Personal attacks, persistent harassment, or targeted insults aren’t allowed.
  • No family insults. Don’t insult people’s family members (parents, siblings, partners, etc.). Keep the conversation focused on the game, not personal lives.
  • No hate speech, political or religious campaigning. Content that promotes or encourages hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or similar is banned. Avoid political or religious debates. Promotion of fascist, centrist or conservative ideologies are not welcome.
  • Keep language reasonable. Casual swearing is understandable in a gaming community, but excessive insults, threats, or unnecessarily aggressive language in chat or voice channels is not allowed.
  • No meta-gaming in Discord. Do not post or share in-game live intel on public Discord channels (e.g., “Shots at NWAF,” “Car at Zeleno,” “Tisy active”). Use in-game comms, DMs, or private voice channels for coordination.
  • No base/stash locations in public chat. Never post exact base or stash coordinates, screenshots, or detailed descriptions in public channels, even if the base is yours.
  • Meeting up with friends. Organize meet-ups via Discord DMs or voice channels. Do not use public text channels for coordination requests.

1. Staff, Tickets & Support

  • Respect staff: Staff are volunteers who keep the server running. Treat them courteously and follow their instructions.
  • Use the ticket system: If you need help, open a ticket. Don’t DM staff unless they specifically ask you to. Tickets are handled in order.
  • Be honest in tickets: Provide accurate information and any requested evidence. Lying or withholding crucial details may lead to penalties.
  • Evidence and recordings: When possible, record incidents (MedalTV, Nvidia ShadowPlay, etc.). Video greatly speeds up investigations. If you have proof, include it in your ticket (upload unlisted YouTube links or attach files as requested).
  • Final say: Admins make the final decision in disputes. Their decisions are authoritative.
  • No tagging staff unnecessarily: Only tag staff in emergencies (server down, major bug). Don’t tag staff to ask why your ticket hasn’t been answered it will be handled as soon as staff are available.
  • No teleport or instant-fix requests: Staff won’t teleport you for convenience. If you have a legitimate issue, submit a ticket with evidence.

2. General Server Rules & Fair Play

  • No cheating, exploits or scripts: Using glitches or unintended mechanics to gain an advantage is not allowed (This is including, but not limited to; using ESP, Cheat menus, Ice sliding, Moon-walking, loot cycling). Report major bugs to staff. Using NVIDIA Filters or Reshade is allowed.
  • VAC / recent bans policy:
    • If you have a cheater ban less than 365 days old, you can not play on Afterlight.
    • If you have multiple cheater bans, you can not play on Afterlight.
    • If you have a BattleEye ban, we reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary.
  • No doxxing or sharing personal info: Never share other players’ personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, linked profiles) publicly or in tickets.
  • No impersonating staff: Don’t pretend to be an admin or staff member. Misleading others about rules, punishments, or staff actions is prohibited.
  • No server advertising or promotion: Do not promote other servers, projects, or communities on our server without prior approval.
  • Public conduct & reputation: If a player’s public profiles (Steam, Discord, etc.) contain content that harms the community’s reputation, staff may act (warning, removal).
  • Multiple accounts / alts: One account per player. Found alts will be permanently banned and the primary account may be suspended (up to one month). If multiple players use the same IP, open a ticket, verify identity, and follow staff instructions. Not reporting alts = ban.
  • Rule changes: Staff may update rules at any time. It’s your responsibility to keep informed.
  • Staff authority: Staff may issue immediate bans for severe offenses. They are not required to provide proof publicly during enforcement, though evidence may be reviewed internally.
  • Stream Sniping: Stream sniping is strictly prohibited.

3. Group & Player Limits

  • Group size cap: Maximum of 5 players online from the same group at the same time. You may have more members in your faction, but only five may be online simultaneously.
  • Alliances & Teaming: Forming Alliances or allying with another group is NOT allowed!
  • Rotating players: Rotating players is allowed. You do not have to make a ticket.
  • Circumventing the limit: Attempts to bypass group size rules (alternate accounts, shadow connections, etc.) will seize consequences.

4. Base Building Rules

  • Flag & claiming: Every base must display a flag within 5 days of beginning construction. You can start building immediately, but the flag must be placed within five days or admins may open the base for public looting.
  • Minimum distances: Maintain at least 150 meters from other player bases. Military zones require 300 meters minimum distance.
  • No coastal or restricted-area builds: Building along coastal spawns or in strictly restricted zones (police stations, military zones, medical areas, bunker loot spawns) is not allowed. Such bases may be deleted without warning.
Building a base under an airdrop landing point is prohibited.
  • Door limits & garages: A base/territory may have up to 15 locked doors. Whether they're doors or gates is up to you. A garage within the territory's radius may contain 1 additional locked garage door. Doors used purely as decorative windows (no loot behind) are exempt.
  • Movement & structure integrity: Bases should allow player movement — Any Corridors must be wide enough to allow two players to pass each other without wiggling. Do not overlap or clip built pieces into map structures (houses, fences, etc.). Admins may remove offending parts.
  • One base per group: Each group may only claim one base. You may include one garage (with the door limits above), but multiple bases are prohibited.
  • Code locks & sharing: Do not share code locks with other groups. Allowing unrelated players into a base you don’t own may result in up to a one-month ban.
  • Loot accessibility: All loot must be reasonably obtainable through normal gameplay (no loot hidden behind unraidable walls or inside textures).
  • Window peeks only: Bases must use BBP windows only for peeks. Any other type of peek is illegal. The window must be unobstructed, and the entire structure (window, frame, and wall) must be visible. We do not allow foot peeks.
  • Base limitations:
    • You cannot have floating bases (See pictures below)
    • You can have max one hanging base part in all directions. Trees can support a base part
    • Your build cannot block roads (Building in the Biathlon tunnel is allowed)
    • Your build cannot block water pumps
    • You are not allowed to shoot towards Airdrops, KOTHS or Key/Keycard rooms from your base
No Build Zones Map

Prohibited Structure 2

5. Raiding Rules

  • Raid times: Raiding is disabled during the first 7 days after a wipe, including Soft-Raiding. After that, weekend raiding will be allowed from Friday 18:00 CET - Sunday 23:59 CET.
  • Soft-Raiding: Outside of raiding hours, the following is allowed:
    • Boosting inside unprotected bases
    • Camping at bases, take loot from bodies and enter enemy bases when left opened
    • Loot bases which are accessible without the use of explosives
    • Dismantling of walls is allowed, when there is no claimed territory
  • Gate-only raiding: Do not destroy walls, watchtowers, or other protected structures that are not intended to be demolished during a raid.
  • No base takeovers: You may loot a raided base, but you may not claim, re-code, or move into it permanently. Take what you want and leave.
  • No glitching into bases: Using glitches to enter bases is forbidden. Entering through doors/windows as intended is allowed. Glitching in is not allowed.
  • Raid cooldowns: Do not raid the same base more than once within 48 hours per team.
  • Record raids: Recording raids is strongly recommended. In disputes without video, decisions will generally favor the base owner.
  • Damage registration problems: If explosives or ammo damage doesn’t register, loot restitution requires video proof.
  • No logging out inside enemy base: Logging out inside an enemy base during or after a raid is not allowed. You must suicide when you log into foreign bases. (Except server restarts)
  • No allied raiding: You may not coordinate allied groups to raid, patrol, or engage in PvP together during a raid. Raids must be carried out by your group only.
  • Unusual entry methods: If you used an unconventional entry method (pushing, creative boosting, etc.), be prepared to explain it to staff with screenshots or video if asked.
  • Boosting rules: You may boost using one placed object at a time (player, tent, vehicle). Stacking placed objects is not allowed. Map structures (fences, sheds) do not count as your placed object.
  • Dismantling: Dismantling base structures is prohibited, unless there is no claimed territory. Dismantling MMG Storage is allowed, but you need to take it away with you.
  • No intentional loot destruction: Do not burn, dump, or otherwise intentionally destroy loot. Please make sure to not drop loot on the ground when raiding (inside or outside). Take everything you need and leave anything else in lockers / containers.
  • Forcing Animations: You cannot force players into an animation to raid your base. This includes the following:
    • Proning/Crawling
    • Climbing a Ladder
    • Vaulting
    • Crouching
    • Jumping
    • Barbed wire tunnels
  • Rebuild-Cooldown: You cannot build or reinforce your base once a C4 has been placed until 15 minutes have passed.
  • No Codelocks on foreign bases: Putting Codelocks on foreign bases (doors/gates/windows) is prohibited.

6. Vehicle Rules

  • Vehicle limits: Each group may have up to 2 vehicles secured inside their base. Extra vehicles should be left outside the base with all parts attached so others can use them. If admins spot a violation of that rule, they might de-spawn or re-locate your vehicle.
  • Vehicles can be taken or destroyed: Vehicles are not protected property. They may be looted or destroyed by other players. Secure them well if you want to keep them.
  • Refunds for bugged vehicles: Lost vehicles due to map glitches (underground, out-of-bounds) can be replaced. Driver errors will not be refunded.

7. Chat & Voice Conduct

  • Language: Use English in global chat and main Discord channels so staff and the community can moderate effectively. Voice channels may use other languages where appropriate.
  • No spamming or advertising: Spam, repetitive messages, mass @mentions, and unsolicited advertising are not allowed.
  • No public cheating accusations: If you suspect someone is cheating, do not call them out in chat. Instead, gather evidence and submit a ticket. Public accusations lead to drama and may be punished.
  • Tagging & role pings: Only ping roles in genuine emergencies (server outages, critical issues). Do not tag staff to demand faster ticket handling.
  • Respect staff in chat: Disrespectful or abusive messages directed at staff will be acted upon.

8. Combat Logging & Ghosting

  • Combat definition: You are considered in combat when you shoot or are shot at, or when you are actively involved in a raid (e.g., trapped inside a base under attack).
  • Logout timer: A logout timer prevents immediate logout during combat. You must remain logged in for 5 minutes after your last point of contact. Abusing logout mechanics to avoid combat consequences is not allowed.
  • No logging out with loot during raids: Logging out inside an enemy base with loot or storage items counts as combat logging.
  • Forced combat logout: If you repeatedly exploit logout mechanics intentionally, your character may be killed (in-game) or face server sanctions.

9. Compensation & Restitution

  • Video evidence required: All compensation requests must include video proof. Without video, staff may deny the claim.
  • No compensation for: Items deliberately dropped on the ground, items despawned due to lifetime expiry, items lost during server restarts, vehicles or items inside vehicles (unless a staff member explicitly approves compensation).
  • Recording tools: We recommend configuring recording software to capture the previous X minutes (instant replay feature). This helps both claimants and staff. No recording often means no support.

10. Events & Tournaments

  • Follow event admin instructions: Event admins have control during events. Follow their directions or you may be removed.
  • Behavior during events: No trash talk or harassment before events start. Avoid bringing personal gear unless allowed. Keep chat minimal so admins can communicate.
  • Event participation rules: Events often provide teleportation and gear. Stay out of event zones until the event begins.
  • Deaths & rewards: If you die during an event, you will not automatically be teleported back. Winners may receive rewards and be sent back to base at admin discretion.

11. Enforcement & Penalties

  • We prefer to educate, not punish. Typical progression for most rule violations:
  • Warning
  • Temporary kick or mute
  • Temporary ban (duration depends on severity)
  • Permanent ban for severe or repeated offenses
  • Some actions (cheating, doxxing, severe exploitation, circumventing group limits) can trigger immediate permanent bans
